구리시청소년재단 청소년상담복지센터, 학교폭력예방 구리시 솔리언또래상담자연합회 발대식

구리시청소년재단(대표이사 강종일) 구리시청소년상담복지센터는 지난 5월 7일 ‘2024년 솔리언 또래상담자연합회 발대식’을 오프라인으로 개최했다. 

솔리언 또래상담자연합회는 학교폭력 예방을 위한 구리시 초중고교 솔리언 또래상담자 동아리 회원들의 모임이다. 회원들은 일정 훈련을 받은 후 자신의 경험을 바탕으로 주변 친구들에게 지지적 도움을 제공하며 학교폭력 예방과 조기 개입을 위해 힘쓰고 있다. 올해는 학교별 대표단이 주축이 되어 청소년상담복지센터에서 제공하는 또래상담 활동 콘텐츠를 활용해 자발적인 연합활동을 기획하고, 교내 또래상담 동아리 활동과 지역사회 캠페인을 보다 활성화시키는 활동을 추진할 예정이다.

이번 연합회 발대식은 갈매중학교, 토평중학교, 구리고등학교, 구리여자고등학교, 서울삼육고등학교, 수택고등학교, 토평고등학교에서 51명의 또래상담자와 지도교사가 참석한 가운데 진행됐다.

이날 행사는 솔리언 또래상담자연합회의 역할과 연간 활동에 대한 안내, 또래상담자 선서와 임명식 순으로 진행됐다. 또한 또래상담자들이 직접 작성한 ‘또래상담자가 된 동기’에 대해 소개하는 시간도 마련됐다. 

백경현 구리시청소년재단 이사장은 “‘좋은 친구가 생기기를 기다리는 것보다 스스로가 누군가의 친구가 되었을 때 행복하다’라는 말처럼 따뜻한 마음으로 또래상담자에 지원한 청소년들의 용기에 박수를 보낸다.”라며, “구리시도 모든 청소년이 행복하게 꿈을 키울 수 있도록 최선을 다하겠다.”라고 전했다.

Guri City Youth Foundation (CEO Jong-il Kang) Guri City Youth Counseling and Welfare Center held the ‘2024 Sollian Peer Counselor Association Launch Ceremony’ offline on May 7.

The Sollian Peer Counselor Association is a gathering of members of the Sollian Peer Counselor Club at elementary, middle and high schools in Guri City to prevent school violence. After receiving certain training, members provide supportive help to their friends based on their own experiences and strive to prevent school violence and provide early intervention. This year, representatives from each school will take the lead and plan voluntary joint activities using peer counseling activity content provided by the Youth Counseling and Welfare Center, and will promote activities to further revitalize peer counseling club activities and community campaigns within the school.

The association's launch ceremony was held with 51 peer counselors and instructors attending from Galmae Middle School, Topyeong Middle School, Guri High School, Guri Girls' High School, Seoul Sahmyook High School, Sutaek High School, and Topyeong High School.

The event was held in the following order: information on the role and annual activities of the Sollian Peer Counselor Association, followed by the peer counselor oath and appointment ceremony. In addition, time was provided to introduce the ‘motivations for becoming a peer counselor’ written by peer counselors.

Guri City Hall Youth Foundation Chairman Baek Gyeong-hyeon said, “As the saying goes, ‘I am happier when I become someone’s friend rather than waiting for a good friend,’ I applaud the courage of the youth who applied to become peer counselors with a warm heart.” Guri City will also do its best to help all young people achieve their dreams happily.”
