구리시 자원봉사센터, 도시텃밭 자원봉사단 발대식 개최

구리시 자원봉사센터(이사장 백경현)는 5월 4일 사노동 텃밭부지(사노동 186-2)에서 자원봉사자 40명이 참가한 가운데 ‘도시텃밭 자원봉사단 발대식’을 개최했다.
 
도시텃밭 자원봉사단은 문제해결형 자원봉사활동 및 탄소실천 사업의 일환으로, 315㎡ 경작 면적에서 상추, 고추, 가지를 재배해 어려운 이웃에게 신선한 농작물을 무상으로 제공하고자 결성됐다.

백경현 구리시장은 “다른 봉사활동을 병행하면서 귀한 시간을 내어 이번 도시텃밭 봉사단에 참가해 주셔서 감사하다.”라며, “어려운 이웃에게 정이 깃든 생산물을 전달하여 봉사자로서 보람을 느끼고, 우리 이웃에게도 즐거움을 주는 자원봉사활동이 널리 퍼지길 바란다.”라고 전했다.

한편, 구리시자원봉사센터는 이후에도 도시계획에 따른 유휴지 등에 농작물 경작, 꽃밭 조성 등의 자원봉사활동을 적극적으로 추진할 예정이다.

Guri City Volunteer Center (Chairman Baek Gyeong-hyun) held the ‘Urban Garden Volunteer Group Inauguration Ceremony’ on May 4th at the Sa-no-dong garden site (Sano-ro 186-2) with 40 volunteers participating.
 
The Urban Garden Volunteer Group was formed as part of a problem-solving volunteer activity and carbon practice project to provide free fresh crops to neighbors in need by growing lettuce, peppers, and eggplants on a 315㎡ cultivation area.

Baek Gyeong-hyeon, Mayor of Guri, said, “Thank you for taking the time to participate in this urban garden volunteer group while doing other volunteer work.” He added, “I feel rewarded as a volunteer by delivering produce filled with affection to our neighbors in need, and we also bring joy to our neighbors.” “I hope volunteerism spreads widely.”

Meanwhile, the Guri City Volunteer Center plans to continue to actively pursue volunteer activities such as cultivating crops and creating flower gardens in idle land according to the city plan.
