구리시(시장 백경현)는 5월 3일 골목형 상점가 2곳을 추가 지정하며 침체된 골목상권 활성화에 박차를 가하고 있다.
 
시는 지난해 제1호 남양시장 골목형 상점가, 제2호 신토평 먹자거리 골목형 상점가를 지정한 데 이어, 이번에는 제3호 구리갈매중앙55 골목형 상점가와 제4호 장자호수공원 골목형 상점가를 지정했다.

이번 지정으로 시설현대화나 경영현대화 등 상권 활성화를 위한 공모사업을 신청할 수 있고, 온누리상품권 가맹점 등록이 가능해졌다.

앞서 시는 올해 골목상권 활성화 및 골목형 상점가 발굴을 위해 관련 조례를 개정해 지정 기준을 소상공인이 운영하는 점포가 2,000㎡ 이내 면적에 상업지역은 점포가 25개 이상, 비 상업지역은 20개 이상 밀집해 있는 구역으로 완화했다.

백경현 구리시장은 “이번 지정이 침체한 골목상권에 활력을 불어넣는 계기가 될 것으로 기대한다.”라며, “앞으로도 골목형 상점가를 중심으로 특색있는 상권을 발굴해 지역경제의 근간인 소상공인을 지원하고, 경쟁력 강화를 위해 지속적인 지원 사업을 추진해 나가겠다.”라고 전했다.
